Angel of Goliad Society – 37th Annual Goliad Massacre Reenactment -Thank you for visiting us at the AOG statue on March 25th & 26th, 2023.

It was a pleasure to meet all the friends of the Angel of Goliad at the statue. Thank you for your visit. We had visitors from California, Virginia, Mexico, Ukraine, and all over Texas.

Devin Brandalick (dressed as a Red Rover) is a descendant of John N Seaton who died at the massacre. The following marker is located at the train station in Courtland, Alabama.

Devin’s ancestor is in the third column. I also visited Dr. Schackleford’s house where he died.

39th annual Goliad Massacre and Living History Program will take place March 29th and 30th 2025.

This annual event features a reenactment of the battle of Coleto Creek which took place 10 miles east of Presidio La Bahia when Colonel Fannin’s command was ordered to retreat and join with the main body of Texas troops under General Sam Houston. Visitors will get to walk through reenactor camps, visit with other historic sites from Texas, and wander the historic grounds of Presidio La Bahia. Admission is $5 per person each day, and Saturday Nights Candlelight Tour is $5 per person.

Angel of Goliad Descendants will be at the Angel of Goliad Statue on Saturday March 29th and morning of Sunday March 30th.

The annual King Ranch Breakfast on November 23rd saw a record number of visitors.  We were pleased to see so many people at our exhibit, that we ran out of Angel of Goliad pamphlets. We met and talked to a number of people who came from all over Texas and from out of state.

Come visit us and enjoy an authentic, hearty, cowboy breakfast, cooked and served outdoors on historic King Ranch for its Annual Ranch Hand Breakfast.

Team roping and old-time cow camp cooking demonstration will be part of the morning’s activities, along with storytelling, and musical entertainment. Come join us for a taste of the cowboy life on historic King Ranch. Local volunteers serve plates of eggs, refried beans, biscuit’s ‘n gravy, sausage, tortillas, coffee and juice.
